PROJECT RELATE: ALAN’S STORY

I edited this short documentary for Google Research, highlighting how Project Relate empowers people with speech impairments to regain independence.
The film follows Alan, a retired conductor in London who lost his ability to speak after a glossectomy. With the help of Project Relate, he connects with loved ones and reclaims his active lifestyle, from volunteering at a food bank to cycling across the city.
The film was recognized at the 2024 Telly Awards, winning Silver in the Accessibility - Branded Content category.
